The pinboard background is effectively an infinitely wide piece of cork. It is possible to have notes pinned "off-screen", a long way to the right or bottom; if this is the case, you'll see scroll-bars at the edges of the board which allow you to move around. You can select different backgrounds for the board. There are three "built-in" backgrounds: cork, wood and paper. Additionally, you can choose your own picture for the background, and all users of the pinboard will see this picture behind the notes. To choose a background, select the background icon from the toolbar: Or, choose the same options from the main Groove menu (Edit - Board - ...)If you select "Cork", "Wood" or "Paper", the background immediately changes to the appropriate texture. If you select "Custom...", a dialog box allows you to choose a .BMP or JPEG image which will become the background image. These background images are "tiled", that is, repeated horizontally and vertically as far as necessary; there's no facility to stretch the background image to fit the screen. If you choose a very large image, you should be aware that this might take some time to transmit to other users if you or they are using a dialup Internet connection.
